Millbrook Primary School
‘Learning about caring; caring about learning’
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
During this time, we believe it is important to understand how changes in our normal routines are affecting the health and wellbeing of young people in Wales. We are working with the HAPPEN primary school network to look at the health and wellbeing of our pupils over this period. The responses given will be used to inform help and support needed for children and families.
If you would be happy to run the survey with your children please click on this link to access the survey and information sheet: https://happen-wales.co.uk/thehappensurvey/
Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness Week is the UK’s national week to raise awareness of mental health and mental health problems and inspire action to promote the message of good mental health for all. Mental Health Awareness Week will take place from 18-24 May 2020. The theme is 'kindness'.
We always strive to promote good mental health for our whole learning community.
This week we are encouraging our whole community to take part from home.
Mrs Watkins will be posting a video about kindness on Monday 18th May on the Millbrook Family Room Facebook page. The staff will also be posting a little act of kindness to you all.
Our message to you is to be kind to yourself and others this week whilst staying safe at home.
Think of ways to do this and share your pictures with us on Facebook or Twitter.
Stay safe, be well and be kind to yourself and others.
Head teacher challenge Page
Mrs Watkins, the head teacher, has introduced a challenge page. This page contains some activities designed for our children and families to do together at home whilst in lock down and to help connect us through this difficult time. Go to the Children's section of the website to try the latest challenge.
Let's do this together! See also information on our Family Facebook Page.
