Welcome back! I hope you and your families all had a lovely Christmas and new year! A strange return back to school because we are starting with online learning. Therefore, all pupils will be required to complete work via google classroom through the HWB website. Daily Literacy, Maths and Wellbeing activities will be posted into google classroom. If you have lost your login details or having trouble login into google classroom then please contact me through my school email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Enjoy completing your work in the comfort of your own home. Hope to see you all soon!
Welcome back! It has been so good having everyone back in school. All the pupils have come back with brilliant attitudes towards their learning and have settled back in really well. Mrs Passmore and I have been very impressed with all the pupils on their return. Da iawn Maple!
- PE will take place every Monday. Pupils will need to make sure that they turn up to school in PE kit because pupils will not be allowed to change in school due to the current guidelines. Pupils need to make sure that they bring suitable footwear for running as well as appropriate clothes for physical activity.
If there are any question or problems, please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
This term Maple's topic is World War 2. The pupils and teaching staff are very excited to get started on our WW2 topic and pupils have already expressed what they would like to know about WW2. Maple will be using their thinking skills to investigate the key events that took place in WW2 as well as exploring what the home front.
It was lovely catching up with parents over the phone for parent consultations. If you were unaware of the parent consultations that took place and would like a phone call, please email me and I will arrange a time to give you a call.
This week in maths we are focusing on decimal numbers. Therefore, all pupils have been set decimals challenges on Mathletics for this week. If you are self isolating at home, this means that you are not missing out on the work that we are completing in class and if you are in school this is a great opportunity for you to practise the skills you have learnt at home.
Next week, Maple will be starting a new book for our new topic. The book that we will start to read next week is Carrie's War by Nina Bawden. Pupils must use their research skills to find key facts about the book (Carrie's War) and the author (Nina Bawden). Pupils can then bring their notes into school on Monday so we can share in class. For pupils that are unable to attend due to self isolation, can you post your work onto google classroom and will include your information into the class discussion.
