Arrival and Collection

In order that children are not at school without supervision, they should not arrive before 8.50 a.m. (unless they attend breakfast club – see separate page). The doors are open from 8.50 a.m. to allow the children to come into the building and visit the cloakroom and toilets before the start of the first session.  Teachers are on duty in their classrooms from 8.50.

No child is allowed to leave school until the end of the school sessions unless collected by a parent or other responsible adult. Permission must be sought from the head teacher for this. Please note we require at least 24 hours notice for medical appointments.

If a court order is in place the school is and parents must abide by its terms. It is parents’ responsibility to keep us informed of any changes.

At the end of the school day infant children must be collected from their class’s entrance door so that staff can be sure that young children are being safely escorted from school. Parents may also collect junior pupils from their entrance door or collect them at the school gates.

We would also request that parents do not park near the school gates and ensure that they do not obstruct the driveway. Thank you! Parents are encouraged to use the large visitors’ car park on site.

School Security

After 9.00 am, all entrances to the school are locked and entry for late arrivals and visitors is only possible through the main entrance at the front of the school

All visitors must announce their arrival on school premises by reporting to the main reception area at the front of the school, and sign the visitor’s book if they are to remain on school premises for any length of time.

For safety reasons all doors can be easily opened from the inside.
