Heddlu Bach/Mini Police
We are proud to be one of the first schools in Wales to have a team of Heddlu Bach or Mini Police. We have 20 students who proudly wear their mini police uniforms and help to make our community a safer place. The Heddlu Bach work in partnership with Gwent Police to raise awareness of a variety of issues. For example, they have run safe parking campaigns, promoted safety messages around events such as Bonfire Night and Halloween and they have worked with a number of community organisations promoting peace, safety and happiness. The mini police work across the school promoting positive policing and help our younger children realise that the police are there to help.
Pupils in year 4, 5 and 6 are eligible to apply to be in the heddlu bach each year.
They need to complete an application form and if selected for interview, they will be interviewed by a panel of people.
We are very proud of all of our Heddlu Bach.
