We have a busy time this week!
Monday - St David's Day. 
Also a quick reminder that PE is every Monday as well!
Wednesday - forest school. Please can the children bring spare socks and leggings to change if they get wet. 
Thursday - World Book Day- the children can dress up as their favourite book character and bring in the book as well if they wish to, to show the class.

Hi everyone!
We are really excited to welcome you all back on Wednesday 24th February. 
As there is no breakfast club this week please arrive 9.15 am, unless you have siblings in another class and collect at 3.00 pm.
Please remember to wear masks and maintain social distancing whilst on school site and outside classroom areas.
Children will need a drink, healthy snack and a lunch bag for this week.
Also, a few diary dates for you:
March 1st- Children are able to wear Welsh clothing (rugby, football shirt or traditional Welsh clothing) to celebrate St David's Day.
March 4th- World Book Day - Children are invited to dress up as a character from their favourite story book. 
You are welcome to take part in a Welsh culture project that can be completed over half term, ready for St. David's Day.
You can make a 3D sculpture, paint or draw anything with a Welsh flavour!

Hello everyone!
Welcome to our last week of on line learning before we go back to the classroom to see all our friends again! 
This is an important week, as we will be learning about internet safety. Look out for learning videos on Tuesday!
Also Valentine's Day is on Sunday. We will be making hearts with messages on them for the class to hang up as a banner in our classroom.
Have a lovely half term - I can't wait to see you all shortly!

This week is Children's Mental Health Week. Look out for lots of activities associated with this on our google classroom! 
We had another great week of online learning last week - and I love to hear and see the new skills you have been acquiring from parents and grandparents in our "show and tell sessions."
Remember our live sessions are on a Wednesday and Friday at 11 am.

Hello everyone!
We are all looking forward to a fun packed week in school! 
The children look amazing today dressed as elves! 
Some parents have asked if Wednesday - Christmas dinner day, is own party clothes. It is normal uniform - in fact we are down forest school this week, so please come dressed ready for this!
Party day with party clothes is Thursday and Christmas jumper day is Friday!

Hello everyone!
Christmas Cards
This year because of Covid we are asking each child to bring in ONE card for the whole class. We will share the card with the class and display it in our classroom.
Please can your child bring a Christmas hat or headband into school on Friday, while we video our Christmas song! Thank you.
Just a reminder that there is no forest school this week.
Thank you to the children who have already completed their homework on hedgehogs. 
Don't worry if you haven't, I've given you until the end of term - see google classroom for details.

Hello everyone!
We are going to forest school on Wednesday. Please can you send a spare pair of leggings in case we get wet!
We have a new animal hiding in our class tree this week - a hedgehog! What facts can you find out about them? Draw a picture and write 2-4 facts in your green book.
Last week we sent home four sound trees - ou, ow / ee, ea / igh, i-e, y, ie / oy, oi. Please put these in the back of the green workbooks. Thank you

Hello everyone! Thank you for your support last week - the children looked amazing on Friday, for Children In Need and the school raised so much - fantastic result! 
Well done to everyone accessing the Mathletics programme and to the children who have earned a certificate!

Hello everyone! 
Just a reminder that Wednesday is forest school and also the day for the flu immunisations.
Friday is Children In Need Day. The children can come to school in their own "spotty" clothes.
Please do not bring in money as we can't accept it, but there is a "Just Giving Children In Need" donation page.
The blended learning document from last week is also for this week so take a look! Also on there is a fun homework activity to do with your child!

Hi everyone, I hope you had a relaxing half term and despite the lockdown, a good Halloween!

It was lovely talking to parents this evening and I am looking forward to speaking to others over the next few days. If you haven't booked a time please come and see me, I will still fit you in!

Firstly I must say I have been blown away by the amazing work I have seen so far on the homework project set last week!

I will be sending home the children's Hwb logins this week, so look out for them! Eventually all work set will be through Hwb and google classroom - just as the children in the juniors are doing.
We have been practising our phonic knowledge using the web site below. When you access the site, click on the resource button at the top to get to the free resources - Buried Treasure, Dragon's Den , Picnic on Pluto and Pick a Picture. Choose phase 3 for the children to practise sounds we have used. Have fun!

Just a reminder, PE - every Monday, please come in your PE clothes.
Forest school - this Wednesday 7th October.
This week we are focusing on reading. We are unable to send books home as we used to, but you can read books online using the link below to The Oxford Reading Tree Scheme.

click on a book and then read e book. You may find your child needs to access the year below or above, this is fine.

Hello everyone!
This week we are focusing on Mathletics. We will be using the chrome books to look at several concepts that the children can have a go at with you at home. Please can you take a photo on your phones of your child's username and password, so if the paper copy gets lost they will still be able to log on! Thank you!
As well as practising our numbers and letter formation in the mornings, we are now also practising spellings. This weeks are my, me, he, she, we.
As well as using Mathletics, we have been investigating numbers!

Dear Parents,
Your child is bringing home a new book today. It is for some of the work that is to be done at home. The tasks will be set and explained here on our web page. We hope you have fun engaging with these activities, so look out for the first one on Tuesday!! 
September 2020. It has been lovely to welcome all our new children to our class. They have been very excited to see their friends again!
Our project this term is "Who's there?" This is a forest school project looking at creatures and minibeasts that may live there.
I am now able to let you know that PE will be on a Monday and it is important that the children come to school dressed in their PE kits as they are unable to change in school.
Forest school will be every other Wednesday, from week beginning 21 st. Please can your children bring in labelled wellies and joggers or leggings for this.
I will be sending home the Mathletics logins this Friday, with a small task for the children to do over the week, so they get used to using this programme. I will introduce this on Monday.
