Millbrook Primary School
‘Learning about caring; caring about learning’
During this difficult time we have set up our on-line version of Millbrook Family Room.
It will be manned Monday to Friday during normal school hours by Mrs Passmore and Miss Harris. They will be posting advice, learning ideas and responding to any queries that you may have.

We are proud to work in partnership with parents, carers and families of the children attending Millbrook Primary School. We strive to support our families in a variety of ways:
We operate a whole school approach to parental engagement. Every class teacher will organise opportunities for you to visit your child's class on at least a termly basis. In addition we run a number of learning engagement opportunities which change throughout the year. Sometimes these are run by school-based staff and sometimes these are run by other agencies. We are fortunate to have a dedicated family room and a dedicated community block. These are utilised for a variety of events and activities involving children, parents and families.
We operate an open door policy and should you need to speak to your child's teacher please come in and see us at the end of the school day. Alternatively, the school office staff would be pleased to make an appointment.
If you feel you may need some family support please contact the school. You can speak to your child's class teacher directly or to one of our nurture and wellbeing officers - Ms Harris and Mrs Passmore.
We are proud to work in partnership with a number of onsite agencies who are able to provide FREE support for parents in our community. These include:
- please phone 01633 851782 or email the service at families.1st@newport.gov.uk Alternatively speak to a member of staff and we will be happy to refer you to the team.
