Summer 2 Dates
Annwyl/ Dear Parents/ Guardians,
As we approach the end of the school year, we would like to share some important information regarding our upcoming events.
Sports Day: Our sports days this year will look a little bit different based on the feedback we received from last year. We were grateful for the opportunity to use the sports field at Newport High School; however, we found that the distance to the toilets caused some challenges, resulting in several children missing their races due to the delays. After careful consideration, we have decided to hold Sports Day at the Brynglas site, with one class participating at a time. While this arrangement may not be ideal, we are confident that your children will thoroughly enjoy taking part in a variety of competitive races alongside their peers. We warmly invite you to bring a picnic blanket or camping chair to watch your child’s Sports Day. On the day, please ensure your child comes dressed in their PE kit, ideally wearing their house colour top.
We kindly ask that when parking near the Brynglas site, you remain mindful of local residents to ensure that access is not disrupted.
Transition Activities: In preparation for the next stage of your child’s learning journey, we have planned numerous transition activities designed to assist in their progression.
Class Showcases: You are invited to join us at school to witness the fantastic learning your child has completed this year.
Please note that children will travel home on the buses during all school-based events, as per our risk assessment procedures.
