Millbrook Primary School

‘Learning about caring; caring about learning’

Millbrook Parent Voice Matters Group

We fully believe in working in partnership with our parents and families. This can make a significant difference to our children’s learning and to school improvement. To this end, we operate a parent voice matters group. This has parent representatives from each class in the school.

The group meets every half term with the head teacher, senior leaders and governors to discuss school improvement issues.

The council meetings sometimes has sub-groups who work in partnership as School Action Teams for Success. Recent initiatives have included:

A group looked at attendance and produced a leaflet about attendance by parents for parents.
A school uniform shop has been set up to recycle old school clothing and provide good quality clothing at affordable prices
The group have also met with Chartwells, our catering provider to explore initiatives to promote healthy lunches.

If you feel you could help to make a difference to our school and would like to be involved in the work of the group, contact the school.
